SUMMER INFORMATION
* Air Conditioning - Everyone is advised to change your filters and to consider having your heat/air pumps serviced to ensure efficient operation of your cooling system. If your heat/air pump is not operating properly, you should try shutting off the breaker before calling the Management Company or a private firm for service. Many times this will resolve the problem. Ceiling fans set in the cooling mode (counter-clockwise) can maximize the circulation of cool air and keep your costs down.
* Gas Grills - Fire Laws prohibit the use of gas grills above ground level. As a result, only specific units are permitted to use gas grills. Those units (all on the ground floor) are: 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116 & 117. If you have a gas grill on your deck and do not live in one of the units listed above, you are violating the Fire Laws, and you will be fined. Charcoal grills are permitted on other decks and patios, but must be at least 10 feet from any part of the building. Please use care with all grills.
* Landscaping and grounds - You may have noticed some recent improvements to the landscaping at Classical. A new fence and seven new Flowering Pear Trees have been added along the west border of our property. They enhance the property and provide a nice divider along the parking lot. These and other improvements made over the past several years are meant to enhance our property and your property values. Please avoid trampling through mulched and planted areas. Also, please do not litter, and please pick up litter when you see it. Smokers should use the ash trays installed at the entry doors and not put cigarettes out in our gardens or parking areas. Parking areas run alongside planted areas, so please be careful not to pull your car too far forward over the berm, as you may be blocking a sprinkler head. Our by-laws prohibit work on cars on the property, and this includes washing. The hoses around the property are for landscaping purposes only, and should only be used by those volunteers who have agreed to water the trees, shrubs and flowers throughout the property.
* Pets - Pet owners should utilize the designated Pet Areas, pick up after your pet, and follow all rules and regulations pertaining to pet ownership. Pets must be carried in common areas and must be kept leashed.
